At Ruby’s Place, our Community Outreach team takes great pride in giving back and impacting the lives of members of our community with service, case management, and more.
Outreach Services
Case Management
Our case managers help individuals develop service plans that meet their unique cultural needs and personal goals.
Bedside Advocacy
We partner with local agencies to provide direct bedside advocacy in hospitals and medical clinics for individuals that are victims of human trafficking.
Supportive Services
We assist with CalFresh, MediCal, housing referrals, and connection to legal aid resources, including immigration, employment law, and restraining order services.
We also connect clients to mental health resources, educational and employment assistance, and support with transportation. We accompany clients navigating criminal processes and interacting with law enforcement and government agencies. All is done while considering a client's cultural preferences and language support needs.
Need to see our team in person? Every 2nd & 4th Tuesday, we are available for walk-ins at Oakland Family Justice Center to assist you with your needs and concerns.

PERSONAL CARE & FOOD DISTRIBUTION
We are teaming up with Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center to provide our community with basic personal care kits and food packages every 4th Friday of the month at Alameda Family Justice Center from 11 am - 2 pm.

Community Outreach Team
Our team consists of dedicated, bilingual case managers who provide trauma-informed, comprehensive case management to survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. All case managers are state-certified Human Trafficking and Domestic Violence Counselors.
